heretics for defending the Catholic faith.
At Rome, Pope St. Celestine, who condemned
Nestorius, bishop of Constantinople, and put Pelagius to flight. It
was also by his authority that the holy ecumenical Council of Ephesus
was convoked against Nestorius.
