750TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DISCOVERY OF THE RELICS OF SAINT ANTHONY

Fr. Mario Conte OFM, executive editor of the Messenger of Saint Anthony magazine, Fr. Riccardo Giacon OFM and Fr. Paolo Floretta OFM, all from Padua, are marking the 750th anniversary of the discovery of Saint Anthony's relics by Saint Bonaventure in 1263 by visiting Chicago, South Australia and Canada this month, each bringing a precious relic from his Basilica in Padua.

IN LUMINE FIDEI (SUB DUCTU ECCLESIAE)

Initially I thought of many other titles for this Blog site, only to find that they had already been taken and that their web addresses were no longer available. “In Lumine Fidei” was an idea that came to me out of the blue, so I was very pleasantly surprised to subsequently learn that these words are part of the ancient theological axiom in lumine fidei sub ductu Ecclesiae (in the light of faith under the guidance of the Church). I must have been led to this by the Holy Spirit because I had never heard or read of this axiom and it expresses perfectly what I intend this Blog site to be about. Praise be to God.
